Update

It has been awhile since I have been able to update things so I have a lot to fill in. In March we went to St. George Utah to hang out with some friends and had a blast shopping and eating. We even got the chance to go see Bryan Reegan.

This summer I decided to get active and tried to get into Kayaking.

We spent the summer having fun kayaking, traveling and off roading.
I went to girls camp and was a den mom for the first years which was so much fun.
We did a huge service project at the park.....

Went zip lining....
We even did a disater hike where I played a person with hypothermia who fell and had a head wound. Even though it was alot of fun our beloved city of Prescott Valley was going through a crisis with a huge fire.
This fire was eventually contained but shortly after the huge Yarnell fire happened which killed the hot shot fire crew. There was not one person in the tri city area that didnt know someone suffering from the loss of the fire fighters.

There were ups and downs this year. I  got good news that I got the promotion I had been waiting for and became Case Manager at Sequel Care. I worked hard but I felt like something was missing.

October was a big month for us. We went to the annual Prescott rally.....

We also went to Las Vegas to hang out with the same friends we hung out with in St. George. While there I realized that our life had been work, work and more work. We have become robots doing the same thing everyday. That's when we decided we had to make a change. When we got home from the vacation we celebrated my birthday.

Daniel did a great job making me feel special. Along with the presents shown here he made me breakfast in bed.

We were invited by our bishop to go to a fireside one Sunday and found out about this program called Pathway that goes through BYU Idaho. It is this real awesome program that helps you go to school after not going for awhile and only charges you 65 dollars a credit. With this program Daniel and I will be able to get our 4 year degrees for less than 8,000 dollars each. We signed up right away and will begin school in January.

With all the good things going on we were bound to have some bad. I went to the doctor and was told that there is nothing more that they can do for my endomitriosis. The doctor told me that I have tried everything and there comes a point where you have to just say "is it worth it." He then told me that I would need a hysterectomy but understood that it was a hard decision and left it up to us. I had talked with Daniel about this being a possibility and we prayed and decided to follow doctors orders. It took a long time and it was a very painful decision for the both of us. There were a lot of tears (on my part) and a lot of going to my heavenly father praying for a miracle. I went to Time Out for Women a Deseret Book event and while listening to all the spiritual speakers I realized that maybe I was praying for the wrong things. Maybe all of my issues were because Heavenly Father has a different plan for me then the plan I had for myself. I had made the decision and decided to go through with the surgery. When my doctor called with a date for surgery I was able to accept it. I will be going in for surgery on the 5th of December and will be out of commission for 4 to 6 weeks. Even though I get teary eyed every time I think of not being able to have kids I know that this is what my Heavenly Father wants of me. I continued to feel sad and kind of selfish until we went to the temple and I was able to have a serious heart to heart with the Lord. I felt so much peace and tranquility and I now know that the surgery is the right thing for me. I will be posting more often seeing as next week I will be home more often the next couple of weeks.

Ch Ch Changes

Things are really changing super fast. We found out this last week that we have to move. It was kind of upsetting because it feels like we have wasted a year of our life living where we are waiting for things to get started with a bussiness but nothing happened. After getting off the phone with our landlord and talking with Daniel we decided to call a friend and within an hour we had a place to move. I am very excited about it even though I hate moving I see it as a kick in the butt to help us get our life moving again. I can finally see where we are going and can start to make plans for the future.. I am just glad to be done with the waiting game.We are excited to be moving back to the Agua Fria ward we really missed it.

Another good thing is that my brother Michael is coming home in September. I am so excited. It is going to be a good time.

Resolutions Update

Well it took me awhile to get started on my new years resolution as it always does but here's an update on how I'm doing with them.

*Become a better LDS church member (read my scriptures more, pray more, fulfill all my callings.)- Things are going good with this but it is always a continuing process.

*Be in a community theater play (Something I always wanted to do. Finally I will get to put my 4 years of High School drama to use.)- I almost tried out for the play Mama Mia, I even practiced a song for it but I chickened out on my way to the audition guess I have to wait for a play not a musical so I feel more comfortable.

*Embrace Dave Ramsey's money saving tips and work on getting an emergency fund. Also pay off all my medical debt.- We have finished Dave Ramsey's baby step #1 and are looking into depositing the money in a separate savings account now we will be working on baby step #2.

* Develop my talents to the point where they will benefit my family and others.- I have completed a lot of projects lately which I will post pictures of soon so everyone can see. I am also going to be starting a commission for anyone who wants me to make them something I have made for a fee of course.

* Loose weight- I totally slacked on this one but I am starting to do it I have a goal to loose 40 pounds by September and I have a chart made and I think I will do good even though I kinda lost it today but I will call this my cheat day lol. Also I will be signing up for the Tuff Mudder that is happening in October in Utah and will need a team if you want to be on it let me know.

Summer is here and I will have a little extra time so if anyone wants to join me on any or these especially the loose weight I would love it. Thanks all!

Tax Day

Being an adult is difficult sometimes but its worth it. Today is the tax deadline but good thing for us we already did our taxes a long time ago. We had to get them redone because I did them wrong but this last week we finally got our state taxes in the mail. It was so awesome all of the things I have been waiting to for I was able to get. I went on a huge shopping spree it was awesome.
I also wanted to give an update on those resolutions that I made at the beginning of the year. We have been pretty good with saving money and on our way to getting out of debt. We also have not done anything to loose weight which was a big goal but we are ready to get back on track. Something that has helped with the saving is not only Dave Ramsey's advice but also this new guy named David Bach here is a good quick video to watch about his advice

There is also a longer video that is 26 minutes but I recommend it.

Forgiveness

I'm having a hard time right now. Family is something important but there is a certain someone in my family that has only caused me grief my whole life. As a kid living with him made me scared for my life. I used to lock my door and push something in front of it because I was afraid he would come in while I was sleeping and kill me. My brother has always been something that was hard to deal with. I remember lying to people when they would ask if we were family because the way he acted. I could tell all the horrible stories but it would probably take all day.
Despite everything I have still been there for him. When he was homeless I sent money, when he needed anything I was there. He would leave for awhile and things would be great then all of the sudden he would be back. Now he is back and he really hasn't changed. I think he realizes that he cant do the violent things he used to do because he is an adult but he has found other ways to use people.
I need some help everyone..... The scriptures say you should forgive and forget and I know that is important but I just cant seem to do it. Every time I see or hear about him I'm brought to that place I was in when I was younger and all that anger just floods through me again. How do you forgive someone but still make sure that it doesn't happen again? How do you protect yourself from it? How do you protect everyone else as well? I have always been all about family and it worries me that because they have forgiven him they are just going to continue to be used. I have my parents coming over today so I can tell them how I feel about the situation but I have no idea what to say to them. Any advice......
